At LHCS Richmond we offer a Victorian Curriculum program for students in Years 7-10 in small, composite classes of around 15 students. Students are supported by their Home Group teacher, our whole-school wellbeing team and careers advisors. Some students also take the opportunity to negotiate a personalised program. This can include combinations of timetable adjustments, engagement with individualised supports, or participation in small group programs such as Art Therapy, Hands On Learning (Wood and Textiles), or Scribble Jam (rap/hip hop). All students have opportunity to build their teamwork and leadership capabilities through participation in Advance (volunteering and community projects).

In Years 11 and 12 students can complete their VCE or a VCE Vocational Major. VCE subjects taught on-site (2024) are English, Business Studies, General Mathematics, Music Performance, Art Making and Exhibiting, and Outdoor and Environmental Studies. Senior students sometimes choose to add other VCE studies through Virtual Learning Victoria, Victorian School of Languages, or other schools. VCE Vocational Major students learn Literacy Skills, Numeracy Skills, Personal Development Skills, and Work Related Skills, and are also able to complete a VET Certificate in their chosen field. Currently, VET Music is taught on-site. VET may also be accessed through external providers or
School Based Apprenticeships.
