Learning | Opportunity | Respect | Safety

The LHCS work education program operates from our Coburg site. All students take part in a VCE Vocational Major program, including VET studies based primarily in our onsite trade workshops (Automotive, Building, Furniture Making and Hospitality). Students undertake study in Literacy Skills, Numeracy Skills, Personal Development Skills, and Work Related Skills, and undertake a VET Certificate in their chosen field. The program also includes participation in Advance (volunteering and community projects) and health and physical education (including Respectful Relationships) activities. Students may also choose to personalise their own program with the addition of art therapy or industry work placements.

Students are supported by their Home Group teacher, our whole-school wellbeing team and careers advisors, and access mentoring through the INLLEN (Inner Northern Local Learning and Employment Network) Vocational Mentoring Exchange.
